Offers a befriending service to children recommended to them by social services, education services. Aims to offer an Older Friend (over 18) to disadvantaged children, aged 6-16 years. The CRB and POCAL cleared friends take the children on outings and build long term relationships with the children, assisting in the child experiencing a 'normal' childhood.

Children who live in chaotic and dysfunctional families where tensions frequently exist between family members with little interest shown in their personal and social development. Unless addressed at an early stage, these problems can frequently lead to further disruption of the family unit, exclusion from school, bullying and an increased risk of the child becoming involved in anti-social behaviour and relationship difficulties impacting negatively on the wider society.

To improve the child's social opportunities, broaden horizons, build confidence and self-esteem, and provide the child with access to learning opportunities to fulfil their potential.
