Glastonbury Carnival provides an evening of entertainment of illuminated carts, dance and music in November for the benefit of the local people of which now is seen by many more visitors to the area increasing tourism to the town. This event has a history dating back over 150 years and is part of Somersets' Heritage. Monies raised help the future of carnival by supporting the Gangs and Features along with supporting local groups and charities by way of donations for their help.

Local groups, schools and organisations are able to offer their help in return they are able to receive a donation .
