In our Family Centre we provide supported temporary accommodation for mothers and children. Those with more serious difficulties may need a higher level of support in our Recovery Centre. On our farm, men and women can learn and develop life skills working with horses, chickens and in horticulture. Children benefit from our Day Nursery. Whatever the circumstances, GNFC's help is unconditional. We try to show God's love in a practical, non-judgmental way.
Why the community needs usWe can accommodate women with children for recovery from Drug and Alcohol dependency. All residents can get help with Parenting Skills, Housing issues, Home Management, Cooking, Nutrition, Health, Hygiene, Personal Growth, Further Education, Skills Training and Job Seeking. Our goal is to see families back on their feet and reintegrated into the community. Referrals come from Social Services, Health Visitors, Churches and Christian organisations, as well as Probation Service and others.
Our impact on the communityWe have been providing supported housing for 23 years. And we have a good track record of success - through our support and interventions lives are changed and relationships are built and nurtured through the generations. Our recovery centre has allowed women, with their children, to be reintegrated back into the community.
