Help us grow a healthier community - good food really does matter so please help us teach more people the skills to grow, cook and share GOOD FOOD
Good Food Matters was founded in 2007 by Evelyn Findlater MBE, following 30 years’ experience teaching disengaged, disadvantaged young people about health-centred cookery and sustainable food production. Encouraged to embed this positive learning into the community, she decided to build a food learning centre – raising in excess of £780,000 over eight years. Today this space is a valuable social and ecological asset for Croydon.
Our mission is to enable everyone to cook and grow nutritious, balanced meals – making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. We run events throughout the year in our community kitchen and garden – designed to engage people young and old in the joy of home grown produce and shared meals, build confidence and develop new skills.
