Our trained advisors provide emotional & practical support for those facing an unwanted pregancy, or who need help after an abortion, miscarriage or baby loss. We provide an environment where people have time to talk about their situation and explore the options available to them. Often the medical profession send referrals. We are free and give unbiased support. We also offer free pregancy tests, information about adoption, contraception and sexual health and loan baby clothes and equipment.

Since 1999 women and their partners have travelled from a wide area to recieve help, even though based in Glastonbury. Their ages have ranged from 13 to those in 50s. They find us through Yellow pages or via www.Careconfidential.com, a national organisation to whom we are affiliated but independantly run. [They also provide our professional training.] We have produced an interactive PSHE program of teaching, games etc. for KS3 pupils & staff called "BOYS & GIRLS- Sex & Relationships".

We have had 2675 client contacts up until 2010, through appointments, drop-ins, mobile and mainline calls, emails and through the national helpline Careconfidential which we man once a week.It is difficult to assess the outcomes. However, after leading a client through "The Journey - a Road to post abortion recovery" [or adapted for baby loss] which takes several months to complete, we compare their mental health with original state. Anecdotal evidence includes "absolutely crucial for me" etc
