Let the Great Lever Voice help you find your X factor that will help you to move forward in life

To work very closely with small groups or one to ones to enable young people become more motivated, confident and gain qualifications in vocational subjects. We teach them personal and social development skills to enable them to operate as good citizens. Reduce the numbers of young people who are not in employment, education or training and work with partners and agencies effectively to reduce anti social behaviour on the estates in Great Lever, Farnworth and surrounding districts.

Why the community needs us
Helping to give young people new skills that they share with their families and communty. Bridging the gap between the old and young. Giving young people somewhere to attend instead of being on the streets being bored and causing mayhem. Working together, sharing skills and learning from each to build cohesion. The importance of family life about sharing and being respectful to each other. People giving back what they have previously taken without thinking of the consequences to everyone.

Our impact on the community
Photographic and video evidence. List of qualifications young people have achieved, Soft Outcomes: CVs and covering letters; evaluations sheets from young people.

Volunteers needed

We are looking for volunteers who understand the importance of helping young people with numerous issues to move forward in life. Volunteers who can bring something new into our project and give one to one support to some of these young people. Volunteers who will be fully committed who can motivate these young people and help them find their X factor.
