Halifax Choral Society is proud to be one of the most eminent names of the UK choral tradition with over 200 years of unbroken performance. We aim to educate, inspire and thrill with regular concert performances, as well as bring new generations to choral music with outreach and schools programmes within our local community. COVID 19 has proved to be one of the biggest challenges we have ever faced, but with your help we will continue to bring music to the heart of Calderdale.
Why the community needs us
We aim to bring the highest possible standard of music to the local community. We encourage people to become actively involved with the HCS, either through attending our concerts performed at the Halifax Victoria Theatre or joining the Society and singing with us. Our members have many different backgrounds and we welcome new members to join us and share in the benefits singing brings to our lives.
