Halifax Minster ia a jewel in Calderdale, and a medieval setting for education, culture and civic engagement. A place for the community to congregate for worship, for musical entertainment and for the people of the Borough of Calderdale to meet.

An historic building offering educational visits to Primary Schools children, who will experience times past as part of the National Curriculum. An acoustically significant space which enhances brass, strings, voices and the organ. A large space in which to meet that is looking forward to improved lighting and a new sound system, a safer and larger stage, improved toilet and kitchen facilities for the 21st Century.

Through a huge volunteer force we are able to welcome visitors to appreciate the beauty and space that is Halifax Minster. Visitors come to worship quietly or join with the civic services that take place. Children learn about the past by experiencing themed tours of the Minster. Other organisations use the space for musical fund-raising events. People return because of this unique environment.
