Could you give a few pounds a month to Haringey Migrant Support Centre's work supporting destitute and homeless migrants across London this winter?
Regular donations are vital to small charities like HMSC because they give us the stability we need to be able to plan ahead and ensure that we can keep working for the long term. We are determined to be here for as long as we are needed, and your support can help make that possible! Please click "Give monthly" above if you are able to donate in this way.
HMSC works with 500 migrants, refugees and asylum seekers a year. We offer free immigration and housing advice, and in-depth casework to support out visitors to secure their status, move out of homelessness, and start to build a safer, happier life here in London.
With the onslaught of anti-migrant legislation and rhetoric that we have seen escalating over the last two years, alongside the cost of living crisis, the breakdown of legal aid provision, and the ongoing impacts of the hostile environment, our visitors are struggling. It's also a challenging time for our team as we do everything we can to support people to navigate narrowing opportunities for support. We've had some amazing wins this year, with visitors continuing to secure their status and find decent housing. We've also managed to open a community wellbeing space which is offering social activities, hot food, and a place to connect to HMSC's visitors.
To say thank you, we'll send the first 100 people who sign up as regular donors a free Haringey Migrant Support T-shirt (or Tote bag. Please just email info@haringeymsc.org when you have signed up and let us know your preferred size (S,M and L currently available in fitted or unfitted styles. Sizes subject to availability.). Or, let us know if you prefer a bag. You could keep the gift, or use it as a Christmas present*!
