We aim to manage this community centre to provide high quality facilities and a diverse range of activities and services to local people, community groups and public sector when required. Our aim is that the centre will enhance the quality of life for local people by providing educational, recreational, health, well-being and leisure opportunities. A place where people can meet, learn and socialise in a safe and friendly environment.
Why the community needs usWe provide a wide variety of resources and services for the whole community regardless of sex, age, religion or race, the centre is non-political, non-sectarian and non-discriminatory on any social grounds. As a local charitably run community centre, we are not reliant on grants or outside funding, we are self sustained through the kind and dedicated work of our trustees, local people and supporters.
Our impact on the communityNewhaven is a town of almost 13,000 people and we provide services and facilities that are open to this population and surrounding area including local cinema and cafe in addition to the many social groups that use the available space within the centre.
