We are a rowing club serving young people in the local community aged eight to eighteen years. The Club was founded in 1998 with the objective of providing youngsters in Oxford who would not normally have the financial means or opportunity to participate in rowing. Our primary goal is to take rowing to state schools in the less privileged areas of Oxford and use rowing to empower children and young people and give them important life skills.

The provision of an opportunity usually the preserve of the Private Sector Schools.We, therefore, provide children and young people who would not normally have the financial means or opportunity, to take part in rowing. We have an inclusive membership policy and welcome young people from all backgrounds, ability, social class or economic background. if a child receives free school meals they will receive either free or discounted membership.

Improved academic results and self esteem in youngsters which in the family environment can become generational.
