To make all communities of South Tyneside aware of the Indian Culture and Hindu Religion. Cultural activities for the children specially those from the deprived areas of South Tyneside. Provision of dance classes for children from all communities of the Northeast Multicultural events where all the groups from South Tyneside perform. Celebrate Diwali, (Festival of Light) where all communities get together and have an evening of celebration. Children of asian descent feel they have an identities.

All the communities living in South Tyneside and indeed the Northeast come to our events they enjoy the programme and Indian food for a small expense Our dance classes are open to all and children from the deprived areas get a concession also some get to learn completely free We collaborate with the Customs House and many people specially from the refugees and asylem seekers get a chance to enjoy this wonderful facility The local groups who peform at our events and appreciate the chance to do so
Our impact on the community
Children taking part feel a sense of achievement Those who learn dance feel that they have a healthy activity and fun as well. Parents feel that their children are safe and have an activity to do on a saturday. Communities who attend our events and Diwali celebration have told us by word of mouth and questionnaires that they have a good time. Local perfoming groups fell that they have had a chance to showcase the work they do. Refugees and asylem seekers enjoy facility of Customs House theatre.
