Honiton Carers Support Group, support Carers and ex-carers throughout their caring journey and beyond. We offer Peer Support, training, Art & Craft sessions and signposting to other appropriate organisations. We engage monthly speakers both caring and none caring related. We enjoy walks ad outings as much as funds allow, visiting stimulating locations, enjoying the nature and exercise at the same time.

Why the community needs us
Contributes to a healthy life style, gives the Carers much needed respite and eliminates isolation which in turn increases the Carers wellbeing to enable them to care and avoid Carers burn out. Just a few hours respite can give a carer the resilience to carry on with their often 24/7 demanding caring role.

Our impact on the community
Less professional support is required which in turn saves on the local resources. The Carers benefit tremendously from peer support and any type of enjoyable respite and feel more able to cope with their caring role.
