Include Youth supports young people in care or from disadvantaged communities with education & work.
We work with young people in care, leaving care, from disadvantaged communities or whose rights are not being met to improve their employability and personal development. Many of these young people have experienced social exclusion, poverty or have other complex challenges in their lives, for example a learning need, homelessness or mental ill health, therefore need additional support to overcome their barriers and positively progress into education, training or work.
Why the community needs usChildren who grow up in care often lack positive role models in their lives often because they have lost contact with family members or disengaged from school. We connect young people into communities through mentors, work experience and activities so they feel more confident, have access to support and are prepared to overcome whatever challenges they may be facing.
