We have a major project in progress; to preserve the last historic coracle shed in England and to build a coracle exhibition centre.
Why the community needs usThe Rogers family were the last coracle men in Ironbridge; they did a lot for the local community and are remembered fondly. Many people want their memories of the Rogers to be recorded and preserved. We teach people how to make and paddle coracles.
Our impact on the communityThe coracle shed will be preserved as a viewing area - a recreated shed from around 1960. We will preserve and continue the skills of coracle making and paddling, netmaking and fishing from coracles. Local memories of Ironbridge pre-world heritage site will be recorded and interpreted.
