"To address the growing issues of youth violence JAGS aims to raise awareness of youth on youth violence by providing services and safe spaces for healing, education and restoration. Our services include peer to peer support for bereaved families, youth awareness workshops and restorative focused programmes for vulnerable young women and girls.

Why the community needs us

From 2007 to 2015 London has suffered 185 teenage deaths to youth on youth violence. There were 1,038 victims of knife crime in London in January 2014 of which 410 were injured and four killed (obtained via Freedom of Information Act). Many young people are living with the trauma of witnessing death and living in fear of their own communities. You donation could help us to stop another young person dying tomorrow.

Our impact on the community

The C.A.R.E. (Choosing Another Route - Empowerment) programme is a therapeutic drama based programme aimed at vulnerable young females to address issues of peer pressure, bullying and what constitutes exploitation and violence. The programme has been delivered to 55 young women in schools within London. The C.A.R.E. programme is designed to equip young women and girls with skills and confidence to create social change within their local communities
