Julian House is a Bath based charity working with people sleeping rough on the streets.
At its foundation, Julian House was set up to offer direct support to some of the most marginalised people in society - the homeless. Initially this was limited to offering food and shelter. Over time other projects and services have been developed which not only address the symptoms of homelessness but also the underlying reasons why men and women are forced onto the streets.
Why the community needs usWe provide outreach services to rough sleepers ensuring they have the accommodation and support they need to move away from a life on the streets. We work in the community to prevent homelessness and provide a range of opportunities to help vulnerable people to get back into work through employment support via our social enterprises. We see the whole person and work with partners to ensure everyone who comes into contact with our services has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our impact on the communityIn Bath and North East Somerset we work with more than 500 individuals and families who are, who have been homeless. We enable people to make positive choices to address their needs which could be related to drug and alcohol, mental health, offending, domestic abuse, long term unemployment. It could be a combination of all these issues. Whatever a person needs - we will go above and beyond to make it happen and for their lives to be improved by engaging with our services.
