Our overall aim is to develop community activity and learning opportunities. Specifically we help to improve the health, wellbeing and employability of all members of our community through formal and informal learning opportunities.

Why the community needs us

Through our varied range of activites we are helping to make an economic, environmental and cultural difference to our community and beyond. We are creating a happier and healthier community through our walking groups, small world baby and toy project and through our Fit for Work project. We are helping to restore community spirit by offering choice and tailored services identified by the community and for the community Our latest project is a Youth Cafe for young people aged 10 to 14 years.

Our impact on the community

We are addressing the issue of unemployment by helping local people to achieve the skills, confidence and motivation not only to gain employment but to sustain employment. 78% of our clients gained employment last year and ceased being dependent upon benefits. Through our Small World Project we aim to give children the best start in life with baby equipment and safe, stimulating toys to hire for a small charge. We keep our community healthy with walking groups, food workshops, fit and fun events
