Kinara provides a safe home for women and children fleeing domestic abuse and violent relationships. Kinara provides a home for victims and support in areas of empowerment and self esteem to rebuild lives again in a culturally sensitive environment

There are rising figures of domestic violence (DV), forced marriage and honour killings within the Asian community. There is no other local, culturally sensitive project that provides an understanding of the cultural barriers and stigma attached

Referrals are monitored through statistics and are part of local and national DV forums. A large percentage of clients move on to independent living, obtain basic English and numeracy skills, and feel empowered through our workshops
