As a S.C.I.O K.C.R.C. PURPOSE IS TO Advance the public participation in the sport of coastal rowing by offering free taster sessions as well as all equipment needed to try rowing including the boat, ancillary equipment, personal floatation devices and a safety briefing. To provide education, coaching and training and improve fitness and related skills through regular regular rowing sessions and attendance at regattas.
Why the community needs usKCRC is a community organisation which has brought coastal rowing to Kinghorn in Fife and the surrounding areas. Coastal rowing is very popular in Fife bringing people together up and down the coast rowing in competition and for pleasure. Our impact on the communityWith 4 rowing sessions per week there is an average of 20 people per week rowing as a core crew along with an average of 10 "come and try's" during these session. We expect to reach around 1000 people over an average year including specific come and try days and through attending events held by other community groups including the RNLI and Kinghorn Loch Trust.
