Friends of Larkfields is a parent / teacher group at Larkfields Junior School. The group was formed to provide facilities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. We aim to develop effective relationships between staff, parents & the local community. We organise events that not only raise funds, but provide a fun, social element for the school community.

'The Friends' involves parents, carers, teachers & other community members in its activities. All children at the school benefit from the groups fundraising and social activities.

Through our fundraising we have been able to provide the school with a new library, books, musical instruments, stage lighting & a PA System and to contribute towards a 'Trim Trail', school trips & educational assemblies & visits. In the last academic year we raised money to enable school to purchase fixed playground equipment which we are in the process of ordering. This year we are hoping to raise funds towards a new AstroTurf area which will extend the usable playground area.
