Lincolnshire Businesses for Breakfast provides a free, healthy breakfast to nearly 500 children across Lincoln and Gainsborough each school day. We work in partnership with around 30 breakfast clubs in these areas to provide them with healthy breakfast foods to serve to children. Most of the children we support are disadvantaged in some way, either through poverty, family situation or for health reasons. Our work is targeted so that those who most need it, have access to our help.

Children who eat a good breakfast are able to concentrate better in class, leading to better behaviour and improving educational attainment. Regular access to a healthy, nutritious breakfast also helps children make better choices about their diet, improving health and well-being, reducing childhood obesity. Children look forward to coming to the clubs, helping to reduce truancy and absenteeism. The clubs also teach children important social skills such as sharing, and table manners.
