Leeds Combined Arts provides a wide range of arts based workshops in the community for people from all backgrounds and all walks of life at a very small cost We run a regular book reading group, poetry & prose evenings, music events, drama and confidence building workshops and craft, landscape drawing and photography workshops, and a monthly health walk. We work alongside other organisations including Headingley Music Festival, The Meanwood Valley Partnership and other organisations.
Why the community needs usLeeds Combined Arts provides accessible and affordable workshops for people from all walks of life and backgrounds in the community. Our aim is that through our workshops we reduce the amount of loneliness and isolation for people in the community whilst developing new skills and interests, meeting people and making new friends.
Our impact on the communityThroughout the years we have been running our organisation has helped hundreds of people in the community attend our events and workshops which they have benefited from. We have a lot of very good feed-back from those who have attended our workshops past and present. The result of this is that our group and membership have expanded by 35% over the past 2 years. We hope to keep as many workshops as possible running for the benefit of the community and wider areas of Leeds.
