Liverpool Basketball provides a range of opportunities for local communities in Liverpool and Merseyside to experience the sport of basketball at all levels, from the age of 5/6 to seniors, there is something for everyone, from local community basketball sessions, local junior and senior local leagues to national league training and national competitions. From educational courses to providing volunteers with valuable work experience,learning to be part of a bigger family.

Liverpool Basketball provide a number of local community basketball coaching sessions across the city of Liverpool, either free or at a very low cost. It allows children and young people to access the sport of basketball, engage in a physical activity, improving their mental and health wellbeing and allowing different cultures and backgrounds to mix together and improve communication skills. It also provides an alternative focus for young people rather than hanging around on street corners.

Many children and young people who engage in our local community basketball coaching sessions continue to attend and develop their skills at the sport. Many look at other options that we provide by attending educational courses such as referring, coaching, table officiating etc and gain a qualification which will help them later in life. Many players are given the opportunity to play at a high level and will travel around the country enjoying the experience from travelling.
