Live Well North East (LWNE) are a community interest company based in Sacriston, Durham.
Established in 2018, and trading previously as sole traders, the company are well established and rooted in the community. Working across County Durham, both within the community, across schools and external organisations, LWNE provide activities and services, for all ages, to support health and wellbeing.
Our aim is to provide prevention, early intervention and quick action services that support the needs of our beneficiaries and the community. We are an inclusive, accessible and engaging organisation with a holistic approach to optimum wellbeing for all.
Our beneficiaries include families, individual children aged 0-11 years old, and young people aged 12-18 years old and adults 18 and over - in particular throughout all groups, those struggling with mental health, overall wellbeing, mood, self esteem and confidence. Integrated support is also designed for users with additional needs and disabilities.
Our services include:
• SENsational – sensory play for children and families with additional needs to support wellbeing based around the five steps to wellbeing
• Live Well Kids and Relax Kids – courses for nursery age and primary school aged children to support mental wellbeing, teaching techniques and strategies to boost esteem, understand and regulate emotions, learn about supporting mental health through the Five Ways to Wellbeing and improve emotional resilience
• Resilience Bootcamp – courses for secondary school aged young people incorporating physical exercise and emotional wellbeing focus work to support overall wellbeing, resilience and mental wellbeing
• Live Well Fitness and Fitness with Free Childplay – group fitness and exercise classes supporting mental health and physical health
• Adults Yoga, Mindfulness, Relaxation and Wellbeing
• Family Relaxation and Wellbeing Workshops
• Sacriston Community Boxing Club - providing boxing classes for children, young people and adults.
• Holiday Club – for all primary school aged children running in every school holiday and SEND specific holiday provision
