Why the community needs usAs well as offering a wide & diverse creative and cultural base, we accommodate many other charity groups, community networks, young people, the older community, professional & amateur artists, & musicians, etc. We offer a warm, safe & friendly environment & take pride in the relationships built with these groups as well as with our customers & audiences. We are a weekly destination for some people, enhancing their health & well being, opening them up to the world through film & art.
Our impact on the communityWe welcome over 120,000 visitors per year to our accessible film, theatre screenings, exhibitions & events as well as supporting over 30 individual specialist groups and charities from the local area. As public subsidy depletes year on year, we are working hard with our audience development plan and charitable status strategy towards sustaining ourselves without grant funding. We have increased audience levels over the last 2 financial years by 45% which we are immensely proud.
