Real Change MCR provides homeless people with the practical items they need to make long-term changes and build new lives off the streets. The items can include: deposits for homes, clothes, furnishings for new homes, travel costs, employability training, etc. Voluntary and community organisations that are members of Manchester Homelessness Partnership can apply for funding at two levels: up to £99 and £100 plus.

Why they need our service

We believe that everyone who is homeless should have a right to: - A safe, secure home along with an appropriate level of support to create a good quality of life - Safety from violence, abuse, theft and discrimination, and the full protection of the law - Respect and a good standard of service everywhere - Equality of access to information and services - Equality of opportunity to employment, training, volunteering, leisure and creative activities

Plan and expected results

By working in partnership with voluntary and community organisations providing frontline services for people facing homelessness, Real Change MCR enables individuals to tackle the reasons that made them homeless and make lasting positive change. The organisations stay in touch with the individuals who receive money from the fund to provide long term support. 100% of monies donated to Real Change MCR are used to fund activity that tackles individual homelessness.
