The centre acts as a catalyst for bringing many diverse activities and services together to create a "one stop shop" for people who have drug and alcohol problems, low education attainment,debt and fuel poverty issues or those experiencing social exclusion and/or affected by housing and health concerns.We are the only provider of specific alcohol reduction services in the borough and a leading development organisation, recognised for our innovative approach to supporting local communities.

Socially excluded people can become trapped in a cycle of related problems such as, substance misuse, isolation, poor skills, low incomes, poor housing, crime, bad health and family breakdown. By supporting users in a warm and welcoming environment where they can meet in a socially inclusive setting they can learn at their own pace. Very often courses intended to help are set at too high a level, which only causes an alienation of those participating.

The outcomes our project are achieving is: unemployed people have improved their chances of gaining meaningful employment. local residents have improved their ability to manage their finances , local residents will have improved their Horticultural and cooking skills residents are able to raise issues of concern in their community ,with statutory bodies and partner agencies. Young people have access to a wide a range of activities designed to improve their self confidence and self esteem.
