Merriman Theatre Group has been running since 1998, giving young people the opportunity to develop their confidence, social and performing skills through quality productions, regular rehearsals, theatre visits and professional workshops. The group has had over 300 members in 15 years, with many going on to study theatre and work within the industry, while for others it has provided a vital grounding in confidence and social skills to help them in school, interviews and their day-to-day lives.

Any donations allow us to ensure that membership fees and ticket prices are kept at a manageable amount for many members of the community. We provide activity for young people within the community, the chance to develop their performance skills and their social development, building confidence and providing entertainment for the local community.

Donations would allow the group to continue its work and growth within the community by meeting the increase in running & storage costs, and other expenses, without needing to pass this increase on to the members (in increased fees) or the community (in increased ticket prices), ensuring that we can continue our good work for years to come.
