Minehead EYE is a youth and community centre, serving the young people and families of West Somerset and beyond. It is home to a popular indoor skatepark, cafe, media lab, music rooms, rehearsal space and bouldering (climbing) cave. It is not-for-profit. We run courses, events and sessions for the whole community from climbing and parkour clubs to toddlers' art and crafts and everything in between. We have recently also started running 6 local youth clubs affected by Council cuts.

Minehead EYE provides opportunities and activities for young people and their families from all across West Somerset and beyond. We believe that living in an isolated rural community should not restrict the choices and experiences of young people. We provide a whole range of courses, clubs and activities, subsidising costs for local kids and members by charging visitors/guests higher rates.

Minehead EYE targets a range of outcomes, including inclusion, confidence, health and support, creativity and community related milestones. At our last reporting point we exceeded or met over 80% of our targets. We manage to do this without any revenue support from the Council, essentially by trying to earn as much as we can from what we do. This saves the community around £180k a year, but we do also need help, and all donations make a massive difference to our ability to deliver.
