Basketball fun and competition for the wider community for all skill sets.
A group of volunteers who not only coach basketball but organise training for the wider community. They charge a very minimal amount to players to enable as many people in the community to take part as possible. They work with all levels of player and on focus fitness as well as teaching basketball. They believe that they offer 'something different' to other basketball clubs in the area because of their supportive attitude towards players of all different levels.
Why the community needs usWe want to appeal to anyone who would like to play the fantastic sport of basketball. No matter what your age, gender or skill set. We always try to keep our fees affordable so that it is a real community club.
The board is run by volunteers who work endlessly in their spare time run the club and ensure that any funding raised is ploughed back into the club and for the love of the game.
Our impact on the communityWe started as a ladies only team and as time went on the demand for basketball grew. We now have two men's teams, one youth team and just started one for children aged 5 to 10 year olds.
We require volunteers with accounts experience,
and organisational or marketing skills. We are also looking for qualified (or soon to be qualified) basketball coaches, along with qualified table officials and referees.
