Delivering Meals to Vulnerable People and Low Income Families

We will plan, prepare and deliver meals to low income families across Milton Keynes. A team of staff and volunteers will prepare a weekly healthy eating menu and will deliver the meals directly to the homes of families living in poverty (while maintaining appropriate social distancing).

Why they need our service

These families have been identified through local schools and family centres as families with children that receive free school meals and would otherwise struggle to provide daily meals for their children. The meals prepared will alternate to ensure varied food groups and dietary requirements are met. Food will be prepared by MK Melting Pot's team, with the final cooking/heating being done in the family's home, allowing families to have a role to play in the process.

Plan and expected results

will fund food and essentials parcels for people in need.

will fund advice and support sessions 3 times a week at our Wellbeing Space.
