To support Milton Keynes Rowing Clubs' continued recovery from the pandemic, an appeal for funds to purchase new boat is being set up.

New Boats Appeal
In order to maintain relatively low membership fees, MKRC relies heavily on fundraising activities to be able to purchase new boats, critical for the long-term sustainability of the club. This was a huge challenge during the pandemic, and in the five years preceding that all funds were channelled towards a boathouse, essential for preserving club boats. 

The club now finds itself to be the owners of a large number of very old boats which are outdated and require more and more expensive refurbishing. Fundraising has now resumed, but it would be a huge challenge to make up for the two years of very little activity.

The appeal will run for one year. It is hoped that a significant number of members will be able and willing to make a monthly donation via direct debit throughout the year, but one-off donations would still be hugely appreciated.
