To support young and disadvantaged people from the north east to develop their potential. To engage people in positive and healthy outdoor activities. To provide people with strategies regarding coping skills, understanding and managing risk, working with others, communicating, building self esteem and confidence. To create opportunities for people to take part in adventurous activities in a safe and supporting environment.

Why the community needs us

Firstly we help people to focus on themselves and the skills they need to develop in order to positively contribute to society. Secondly we help people to focus on themselves as part of a group/team/society and how working together contributes to the development of a community. Finally we help people to focus on the environment, not necessarily the rural environment although that is a major part of the work we do. We ask them to focus on caring for the environment.

Our impact on the community

We help offenders to consider their offending behaviour and how that impacts on others - Before I came to Mobex I treated people as objects, I now see them as people, as individuals We work with young people involved in antisocial behaviour - It's having nowt to do that causes problems - Mobex gives me something to do Tourettes North East The feedback from both young people and parents has been tremendous.Given the nature of their neurological and psychiatric conditions this is just amazing.
