More Education is the legal charity name of Koala Community Hub and Koala Academy.  Founded in 2021 as a registered charity, our focus is to provide educational and community support to autistic and neurodivergent people, including those with learning disabilities.

Our community hub supports children, young people and adults, as well as parents and carers.  Due to assessment often being difficult to access, a diagnosis is not needed to access our services.  The hub offers 32 peer support groups each month and 2 online groups.  Gaming groups, sessions for young people not in school and toddler groups are just some of the opportunities we offer our community.  We also offer a 1:1 adult mentorship project and training for parents and professionals.

Uniquely, our charity is managed by autistic adults, ensuring that the space we offer is sensory-safe, demand-free and led by those with lived experience.

We are entering a really exciting part of our journey as we seek to move into our own hub building, allowing us to provide even more support to our community.  Alongside this, we will also be able to provide in-person learning opportunities through the Koala Academy.

Koala Academy officially began providing support to students in April 2023.  The academy has grown rapidly and now supports students in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire.  We are hopeful that we will be able to open a full-time learning provision in 2024.  We continue to offer training to our community and professionals.

All monies raised will support the growth of the charity and help us to create a sustainable and consistent offering that will continue to support the local neurodivergent community.
