We provide free play opportunities for children aged 0-12, both in Morriston and in communities across Swansea. We also provide volunteering opportunities for both young people and adults. We have a young volunteer programme and accept volunteers from the age of 11. We also support various organisations across Swansea including the Autistic Society and Townhill Lone Parents group, and support a number of charity fundraising events. Our aim is to help children and young people play, learn, thrive
Why the community needs usWe provide safe, free and accessible play opportunities for all children and young people aged 0-12. This allows children to play safely, freely and in a highly stimulating environment. It allows them to create their own play environments, to learn, and to thrive. We also advocate for the rights of the children to play, and the benefits of play to children. We support young people through volunteering, helping them into employment or higher education. We also support a lot of other organisations
Our impact on the communityWe now run free play sessions all year round, with a minimum of 500 beneficiaries each year, delivering play sessions and events in at least seven different areas of Swansea. We work with a number of different groups across Swansea, supporting their projects and increasing opportunities for children and young people. Our young volunteer programme is thriving, with several of our volunteers battling issues around mental health and emotional health. They are all supported to achieve their goals.
