Mosaic offers a pathway of support and guidance for bereaved children, young people and their families. We also offer support to those facing the death of a loved one. Children are encouraged through story-telling and creativity to manage their emotions safely. Our Residential Camps allow children and young people to remember their special person, share their experiences and have some fun. Mosaic also offers bespoke training to professionals working with bereaved children and young people.

Bereaved children and young people often have difficulty understanding the feelings and emotions they experience when someone close dies. The changes in their lives can make them feel isolated and cause changes in behavior and academic levels. The individual and family support helps the families to understand their grief and talk to each other about their memories. The residential weekends give children and young people the opportunity to share their experiences and to make new friends.

Feedback has shown that bereaved families who have been supported by Mosaic demonstrate a marked improvement in communication within the family unit as well as the understanding of the grief process. Positive improvements in behavior at school and within the family home are also reported. Professional staff, such as teachers, agree that Mosaic training gives them the practical tools which empower them to work knowledgeably, confidently and safely with bereaved children and their families.
