Milford on Sea Village Community Centre was opened on 3rd September 2010 by representatives of each generation of village residents - signifying its ambition to be able to offer something for everyone. Ten years have seen the Centre’s activities grow to include almost every type of exercise class, play and poetry readings, music lessons and singing groups, art classes, a playgroup, youth club, a meeting place for stroke survivors and those with Alzheimers, as well as lunch groups and a wide variety of entertainment events.
The Community Centre is proud to provide our extraordinary village with outstanding live entertainment, regular screenings of Opera, Ballet and Theatre from all over the world, movies and a huge variety of group activities.
Sadly our 10th anniversary could not be celebrated in usual Community Centre stye as Covid-19 struck - but the Trustees marked the anniversary with a Challenge, a souvenir (see below) and an appeal which raised much needed funds.

We have produced a potted history of the last 10 years at the Centre, from the construction of the building, to memories of events and some comments from the many volunteers. It is available at the Charity Shop and the Community Centre (when open!). Price 50p! Get your souvenir copy now!
Now we are nearing "normalty" we are running successful clubs and classes and our events are being booked for the rest of the year - while still being mindful of the previous restrictions on numbers so running at 80-90% capacity and leaving mask-wearing to the discretion of the attendees. We are also very grateful to have many of our volunteers returning to help us and, as always, encouraging new volunteers to take part.... ad hoc or on a regular basis, entirely up to the volunteer.
