Music Relief Foundation (MRF) supports young people and families from within the grassroots communities.
Since the launch of our music school in November 2021, we have had our first set of students who have since passed their grade one ABRSM music exams. We understand that not all our students will want to sit an exam. However, the realisation that our guitar students, who had no prior experience, have passed grade one is an outstanding achievement. We are also excited that we have now included within our student's musical learning, opportunities for them to showcase their skills through our soirees, which occur twice a year (summer and winter), as well as band practice, giving our students opportunities to come together as a collective to practice and jam together outside of the confines of their weekly silo classes.
We are equally excited to announce that we have been able to support six of our students through their musical journeys with funding from the Jack Petchey Awards. With the rising cost of living and mounting pressures on parents to provide for their families, knowing that there is some financial support to help with the school fees goes a long way to ensure that the child's musical journey is not interrupted.
