We deliver experiential workshops to support young people to unleash their creative spirits
Music Relief Foundation (MRF), is a registered youth charity 1185747 located in Croydon, South London. For ten years, an organisation serving the grassroots community has firmly established ourselves as youth experts supporting young people and their families.
As our name suggests, we harness the power of music and the arts to address youth issues and encourage young people to explore their natural talents, creativity, curiosity and confidence.
We deliver tailored hybrid personal and social development workshops, and outreach programmes within schools and the community, to cultivate and develop increased motivation and aspirations. A leading voice for youth training and arts support service in the UK.
Why the community needs usAs a grassroots charity, we provide the community with leadership opportunities that young people might not get otherwise. We help reduce the risk of becoming involved in unsafe activities through our targeted intervention programs, such as using drugs and alcohol. Being involved in community activities is a protective factor--that is, it helps young people to make healthy choices. That's because by being involved in an organisation, they can develop a "safe" identity.
Our impact on the communityThis is our tenth year in existence and our theme for this year is ‘CHANGE’. For ten years, an organisation serving the grassroots community, we have firmly established ourselves as youth experts supporting young people and their families, with over 1000 workshops delivered over our ten years of existence within schools, the community, and other charities organisations. We have helped over 5000 young people be the best they can be, and explore their natural talents, creativity, curiosity, and confidence. Our services are structured into three different focuses, 1). More Than Able – our intervention school’s program that seeks to train, inspire and develop positive leaders2). Family and community program – consisting of our holiday activities, parental forum, fitness activities, I am Royal wellbeing program for HM prisons and upcoming music school and parental and toddler meet up. 3). Change – our skills and employability program. Training young people to be job-readyWe are grateful to everyone who has supported us in the last ten years and look forward to bigger and better things. Your support is always needed so join us to continue the great work, by donating your time and/money, following us on social media, and a business signup to take on board young people as your employees. The impact of our work is evident through the diverse testimonials from the attendees themselves -
