To support women and children escaping domestic violence providing; safe refuge accommodation for 13 families,group work,children's services, a holistic programme of activities that aim to support women and children in refuge and in the community to seek change, move on to freedom from abuse and find restoration for their lives. We also offer information, training and support for professionals, providers of services that support victims of domestic abuse,community groups and local businesses.
Why the community needs usVictims of domestic abuse require a lifeline, safe accommodation, a listening ear, to be able to plan for a safe future and support to achieve it. Support to develop understanding, skills and practical help to move on, a safe place to meet, advice. Support to grow independence, make changes, gain confidence and meet others. Children learn to laugh, to have fun and to be children again. Women learn to value themselves, to know they can move on from abuse.
