The Netherfield Forum is a Charitable Organisation originally formed by residents of Netherfield. The Forum owns and manages the St. Georges Centre, a self-funded information hub at the heart of the community, along with the Loco Centre, a converted Methodist Church which it leases from the church to provide youth provision and services, activities and training courses, and opportunities to Netherfield and the wider community.

Why the community needs us
The centres through our partner agencies provide an array of advice and support services, training courses and employability workshops, leisure and fitness activities, quality room hire for public & private sector and youth provision from Cubs & Scouts to Senior Youth Club and Trampoline Club. We organise 4 annual community events each year to which the whole community are invited. Free community meals and entertainment are also provided. A community cafe is also open to the public each day.

Our impact on the community
The positive outcomes of the Forums work are many. From providing a welcoming place for the elderly to meet preventing social exclusion. Employability courses supported by the forum enable Netherfield residents the opportunity to learn new skills to enable them back into paid work. Volunteering opportunities in the centre give people self belief and confidence enabling them to be more confident in looking for paid work. Community events bring the neighbourhood together to strengthen the area.
