Newry and Mourne Carers Association was established in 1987. We cater for the general well being of Family Carers by providing:1 A listening ear2 Support, respite and advice3 A social outlet, advocacy and signposting4 A safe and user friendly environment5 Person Centred Planning to address individual needs6 Information and a drop in service.We do this by working with family carers directly and by engaging with other caring organisations in a two way process to maximise service provision

We ensure that adequate and appropriate information is available to explain to Carers,their parent/guardian,family members professional staff and other stakeholder organisations what services are available for Carers across the Southern Area Health & Social Care Trust area and within the distinct localities within the Trust .We ensure the distribution of information leaflets in community facilities, in schools, youth facilities and amongst those professional groups and agencies

We empower some 500 carers per year to have a better life and to be able to be the best support they can be to the loved ones they are caring for
