To provide a safe environment for older people to meet and socialise: to work on their own projects (such as creating crafts and repairing broken tools and cherished items)and with others. The facility enables members to participate in a rich community.
Why the community needs us
We intend that activities would then expand to encourage a much wider range of people to participate, particularly those who may feel, for one reason or another, isolated from general society.
Our impact on the communityWe have a number of members who live close by but feel isolated. Northampton Community Sheds allows them to interact with other like minded individuals and share knowledge in a safe and friendly environment on a regular basis.
