To help young people between the ages of 10 to 18 years to responsible adulthood using the theme of the Royal Navy and water sports to promote leadership, teamwork, healthy living and social responsibility. The activities are progressive and based around the training standards of the National Governing bodies for water sports. (RYA/BCU/BR). We also promote community involvement and practical leadership and teamwork training to increase social participation and awareness in our young people.

The sea cadets promote teamwork and social skills in young people regardless of social, educational or religous backround. The Sea Cadets encourage community participation through a range of activities and events from their headquaters in Becketts Park Northampton and Victoria Road, Rushden.

The result of the Sea Cadets activities are that our young people are more socially aware and are considerate on the impacts on the community. We aim to promote responcible citizenship in our young people.
