Why the community needs usA high percentage of NRICC's referrals are for historic cases of sexual abuse/violence, with many referrals from Health Services, but with a wide range of other referring agencies and also self-referrals. Victims both male and female over the age of 14 are catered for. A range of counselling services is available. Services are provided from two centres, Northampton and Kettering and when funding allows, clients can also be seen at their GP surgery if unable to travel.
Our impact on the communityThrough therapeutic support of NRICC counselling service clients often find more positive coping strategies to deal with the affects of sexual abuse. We support clients whilst they rebuild their lives, often reducing medication, becoming positive role models to their children, re-engaging with their local communities, enrolling into training or finding gainful employment.
