The present club was formed in 1970 on a site that existed from the beginning of the 20th Century. The club provides facilities to play lawn bowls in a friendly country atmosphere anytime throughout the season which runs from the beginning of May to the end of September. Our members play in the Bletchley & District League and the Bedford Borough Floodlight League as well as playing in around thirty friendly games with local clubs. Our ladies also play in the Burnham Plate with some success.

Why the community needs us

The club is run by a Committee on a voluntary basis, but every member is encouraged to make a contribution to the running of the Club which, of course, is for their enjoyment. The game of bowls provides outdoor exercise which contributes to a healthy lifestyle which is both physically and mentally beneficial to everyone who takes part It is not a physically demanding sport so can be enjoyed by young and old alike.

Our impact on the community

Taking part in a healthy outdoor sport, meeting new people, making new friends and enjoying a friendly atmosphere is what we aim to achieve. We hold several social events throughout the year including an annual ramble and BBQ.
