A dedicated specialist psychotherapy and counselling service in the Scarborough district.
We are a specialist team of psychotherapists and counsellors working with adults who have experience of or been affected by sexual abuse, domestic violence, childhood abuse or related trauma or exploitation. We offer one to one long-term therapeutic input to support clients to make lasting life changes, support for family members and support to other services working with clients with experience of abuse.
Why the community needs usWe are the only dedicated therapy team based in Scarborough working with abuse and trauma. We provide the missing link for services dealing with possible symptoms of abuse ie. mental health problems, addictive behaviours, eating disorders, relationship difficulties. There is a gap in mental health services for people diagnosed with a multiplicity of difficulties which may be related to previous abuse. We work collaboratively with other services to create a more comprehensive network of support.
