Notre Dame Refugee Centre

We are an independent charity supporting refugees and asylum-seekers. We do all we can to help them feel part of life in the UK by providing a warm welcome and essential services that are not offered elsewhere.

We want to ensure our vital services survive and continue during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are one of the few centres continuing to take referrals at this unprecedented time when so many other similar services are closed.

We need to raise funds to ensure that we can remain connected and offer a vital lifeline to the really needy and destitute individuals in what otherwise be a particularly isolating and heart-breaking time.

Your donations will go towards ensuring that clients continue to receive support remotely, be that legal advice support, counselling, ESOL classes or befriending whilst our other services have had to close.

One man who uses the Befriending Scheme told us:"The befriending sessions are helping me to improve my mental wellbeing as I get to talk to someone and my mood improves every time. I am suffering from depression and loneliness and the befriending is helping me a lot - I really enjoy chatting with my Volunteer befriending match."
