Supporting pupils with Dyslexia,ASD, Dyspraxia and other associated learning difficulties to excell
To support our community of learners in achieving physical, emotional health and well-being and substantial progress in learning and thinking
Why the community needs usProvides a local alternative for pupils who are finding it difficult to learn within a Mainstream education structure. Changes daily experiences of feeling educationally segregated , isolated from other pupils and the affects of low self esteem that so often occurs as a result of the challenges and struggles they face.
Our impact on the communityNunnykirk Centre has supported pupils with learning difficulties for over 40 years and helped them to achieve and progress into adult life in ways that they may never had imagined they could. In the words of one of our existing pupils "Without Nunnykirk I would had been nothing but now I have so much to look forward to". "This school drives you to believe in yourself . When you say you can't , they help you to realise "I can" and "I will". They don't push - they encourage ".
